We are seeking a full-time, experienced, registered and very creative Senior Design Architect to join our team with key responsibility for the overall architectural design specifications on multiple commercial projects as well as our company design standards. The Architectural Design Professional will develop detailed design intent specifications for all building products, as well as technical solutions to project design challenges.
The position will require you to gain full understanding our client’s design intent, space requirements, building program and target market, any specific qualities or unique features they may need, and based thereon reach an agreed upon design direction to define and develop all the important aspects of the project, interior and exterior materials and functionality and produce a set of conceptual drawings and outline specifications that your team will hand over to the BIM Modeling team to complete the Revit Drawings and Construction Documents using iBUILT’s Design Standards.
It will also require daily coordination with the Business Development, Manufacturing, Engineering and Procurement teams, frequent presentations to our developer clients, and the ability to act as the primary design liaison between our clients and our internal teams. As we roll out our future state construction system, you will help in the design of new volumetric steel buildings and assist in the management and execution of our projects coming down our pipeline ranging from $10M to $100M in construction value. Projects will be comprised of residential mix-use, hospitality, healthcare, education, and commercial sectors. As part of your role, you will need to communicate with the BIM Modeling team, software development, manufacturing and engineering teams pertaining to technical, code, and constructability issues, while also keeping the abreast of all issues and meeting required deadlines.
