MEP Engineer

iBUILT is currently accepting applications for an MEP Engineer to work as an integral part of our Design and Engineering team in Berwick, PA or New York, NY offices. We are looking for an MEP Engineer to be part of our in-house team to develop mechanical, electrical, plumbing and HVAC designs and contribute to the engineering of volumetric steel modular residential, commercial, multi-family, hospitality and industrial buildings, both in traditional construction modalities, as well as through new innovative modes and methods using new materials and technologies to create better, stronger, lighter, more-sustainable, water and mold resistant, energy efficient buildings.

The successful candidate will be required to have a PE accreditation and will sign/seal project documents as required.

Responsibilities will include preforming MEP engineering calculations and performance simulations including sizing, selecting, and specifying Structural components and systems and ensure designs are compliant with the company’s principles of design for manufacturing, assembly, and systems integration; preparing drawings; developing and monitoring proposals; scopes and budgets.

This position requires proficiency in the use of AutoCAD, Revit, as well as alternative MEP based design software.

Inventory Coordinator

iBUILT is currently accepting applications for an Inventory Coordinator to work as an integral part of our Procurement Team in Berwick, PA. The Inventory Coordinator is responsible to oversee, plan, and coordinate to ensure all necessary materials are available for production needs. This position is also responsible for regular quality control (damages) and to maintain accurate inventory levels and adjustments to inventory.

Job Description

  • Investigating order discrepancies to resolve any issues
  • Safely operate and maintain warehouse equipment while preforming job duties ensuring a safe work environment
  • Ensure all defective product is accounted for and handled properly
  • Maintain and assign inventory locations and labels within the warehouse
  • Kit production orders in a timely and organized manner to support the manufacturing schedule.
  • Verify accuracy of product in locations daily versus the quantities in the ERP System
  • Investigate, analyze, report and correct discrepancies found by physically counting product as required by outlined protocols
  • Making sure misplaced items found around the warehouse are returned to correct bin locations and investigate issues uncovered
  • Serve as a Material Handler – Transport materials from the warehouse and production floor
  • Distribute materials to the specific production areas where they are used.
  • Conduct cycle counts as required
  • Other duties as assigned

Receiving Incoming Quality Inspector

iBUILT is currently accepting applications for an Receiving-Incoming Quality Inspector to work as an integral part of our Procurement Team in Berwick, PA. The Receiving-Incoming Quality Inspector will oversee the receipt & initial quality inspection of iBUILT inventory. This employee will work with the Director of Operations and Manufacturing Manager to help manage incoming inventory.

Job Description

  • Responsible for all receiving functions of all incoming materials
  • Receive, quality check, label and store all incoming inventory
  • Compare received items against procurement documentation and other specifications to ensure completeness and accuracy of orders.
  • Inspection of purchased parts and material for conformance to specifications. Examines items for defects in materials, work, and damage occurring in transit, inspects and measures items for dimensional accuracy, fit, alignment, and functional operation, according to prints, parts manuals, company standards, and other specifications
  • Approves or rejects items, and records inspection and disposition information
  • Daily use and update or ERP inventory management system
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in Warehouse and Receiving areas

The Strategic Sourcing Specialist will be responsible for identifying, sourcing, and securing the company’s product library of building products globally. In addition, the individual will be responsible for all phases of sourcing that require the skills necessary to identify cost saving opportunities, create competitive environments, creatively negotiate, generate contracts to assure seamless availability of all products to support the company objectives.

Job Description

  • Benchmark the industry to monitor technology trends and ensure best practices
  • Identify and leverage new suppliers/technologies to establish competitive advantage for the company
  • Establish supplier selection criteria, evaluate alternative suppliers.
  • Coordinate with internal departments and suppliers to identify effective business requirements and develop new business pipeline
  • Negotiate various agreements with suppliers to establish best-in-class pricing, flexibility, quality, delivery, payment, warranty, and service terms
  • Implement supplier agreements/contracts when beneficial by working with cross-functional stakeholders and suppliers to reach agreement on contract terms and conditions
  • Produce and develop required reports on a regular basis to track and monitor various areas of supplier performance along with PO tracking data.
  • Create and execute Global Strategic Sourcing plan
  • Maintain and develop supplier relationships (trade shows, supplier meetings, conferences, etc.)
  • Maximize financial strength through effective purchasing, and Just In Time Delivery and Supplier zero-defect quality.
  • Assist in training and development of the internal teams to ensure they have the necessary skills for all sourcing initiatives, to include requisitioning, vendor creation, and other procurement processes.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Must be experienced in the purchasing of materials used in the construction of buildings including but not limited to steel, various sheathing products, various interior and exterior wall coverings, insulation products, electrical products, and plumbing products.
  • Experience in modular building industry a plus
  • Experience with strategic sourcing, procurement best practices, supplier management best practices is required
  • Strong international sourcing experience with a focus on building materials, both standard and customized
  • Knowledge of the legal terminology and language related to supplier and/or vendor agreements and Contracts
  • Must be Knowledgeable in importation of goods to the US, customs, duties, tariffs, anti-dumping, and product certification requirements
  • Negotiation skills
